Hardware Hustle Information 
Hardware Hustle was incredible!! The kids showed class spirit and ran their hearts out! Thank you to those who volunteered! I have uploaded some pictures and videos to SEESAW. 

Here is further information on the Hustle if your students are getting pledges still
Help your child by sponsoring them for the fun run and putting them in contact with other potential sponsors like grandparents, aunts, uncles, and family friends.
Go to www.Run4FundsColorado.com/prairie-crossing to place online pledges.  Click on the “My Pledges” tab to see your student’s online totals and “Parent Login” to send emails to family and friends.                                                                          User Name: Pcrossing / Password: Wolves 
We are encouraging each student to raise $75 in donations through two options-  flat donations and/or pledges per lap.


Other Reminders

Please remind your students of the dress code expectations as the weather gets nicer.  


Literacy:

This week we will be continuing to look at poems and figurative language.


Math:

We will be focusing on Percents and Graphing this week for math. Your student will have homework this week 

Social Studies
We will be introducing Economics and the types of financial institutions preparing us for Ameritown May 31st.

Homework this week

Your student may have math homework, and some social studies homework this week. 
We will not have spelling for the month of April due to PARCC testing.

This week our class has PE!

Class Updates

Please remind your student to bring headphones, and glasses if they wear them. Students need a good night sleep each night :) 
Please remind students that if they are bringing in fidget toys that they need to be used correctly and not as toys to play with. If they are being thrown, if putty is being used to build things, or used in any way other than to just fidget, they will be taken away. Thanks!

This week we are continuing with the program called Second Step. It is a great program that teaches students how to deal with problems in a positive and effective way. This program will cover topics such as listening skills, problem solving, empathy, respect and disagreeing in a positive way. This will benefit us in making our school and classroom a better environment by focusing and practicing these skills.

Welcome back from you Spring Break! I hope you have had a great break and got to spend a little time with your family! I am excited to be back with your students ready to learn!
