Class Updates
Please remind your student to bring their coats this week.
We will be having an in school field trip from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science Our class will be learning about the heart and it's functions. We will also be participating in a heart dissection.

Literacy:
We will continuing our opinion writing piece on cells and their use in science labs.
Math:
Your student may have math homework. We are working on the last two lessons of algebra and will be testing Friday 1/20
Science:
This week we will be finishing our cell unit and working on our assessment piece of the unit. This is due January 27th. Your student will have time in class to work on this. This week we will be starting body systems. We will focus on the Respiratory system and Circulatory system. We have a guest speaker coming in to talk to boys and girls separately about puberty the 24th. There has been a letter sent out to you regarding the guest speaker.

Homework this week
Students may have math homework this week. If they do not come home with homework to do they can practice math facts online using X-tra Math, or worksheets can be printed off for them.
Always have students read for 15 - 20 minutes a night.
Students will receive a new list of words for spelling Tuesday. Groups A/B/C will test will be on Friday 1/20. Students can access their list online from the Spelling City website to practice their words.
